Electron Gardens Studio

 

Founded in 2001, Electron Gardens is a multi-purpose recording facility in the Rail Arts District of historic Avondale Estates, Ga. It is owned and operated by recording engineer Tim DeLaney. Our commercial clients include Cartoon Network, Honda, Plexus Pictures, The Chorus Films, and The Super Group. Artists who have recorded, mixed, or mastered at the studio are diverse:

Electron Gardens provides recording, engineering and editing services in addition to live recorded events and professional voiceover sessions. We also produce sound design and music composition for video. Our equipment list includes:

Introducing Tim DeLaney

Tim DeLaney has been the musical director and bassist for Atlanta’s Kingsized Entertainment since 2008.  A motion picture/television composer with clients that include Cartoon Network and Honda, DeLaney served as a panelist at the 2013 Atlanta Film Festival. He has performed with the Florida West Coast Symphony and appeared at the Capetown Jazz Festival in South Africa. DeLaney has been a professional recording engineer since 1990 and a Pro Tools operator since 2000. He founded Electron Gardens Recording in 2001 and has produced, engineered, and mastered a continuous stream of recording projects since its inception.  In addition, he has provided engineering and/or editing services at several notable recording facilities including Southern Tracks (Atlanta), London Bridge (Seattle), and Chase Park Transduction (Athens).   DeLaney’s fluency with Pro Tools is thorough and encompasses all of its functionality:  audio-track based editing, mixing, and mastering; midi editing and third party sound library integration (Kontakt Komplete, Superior Drummer); as well as sound design and music composition for video. He is also proficient with Logic Pro,  MOTU’s Digital Performer, and Avid’s Sibelius (music notation) software. 

Van Markiton

Van Markiton is a producer, engineer, singer and multi-instrumentalist from Atlanta, GA. He attends Kennesaw State University and is majoring in marketing. He also attended the Joel A. Katz Music Entertainment and Business Program with a focus in audio engineering. Van interned under Tim Delaney (Electron Gardens) and Marty Kearns (800 East) for a few years before being hired on as a house engineer at 380 studios in Chamblee, GA. He then returned to Electron Gardens to work alongside Tim and has Produced or Engineered projects for Puddles Pity Party, UPS, Telegram, The Young Antiques, and countless others. He also has experience in the film world, having worked on the blockbuster film “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile”, live video shoots for the Indigo Girls, and Dark Water (Kristian Bush’s new band). He’s also directed a music video for Beaux Pettys, and has worked on several corporate projects. He continues to produce local bands and runs front of house sound for Bogey and the Viceroy.
